Vine & Fruit

Word of the Week

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.John 15:1-4 & 8
Church,

God has been giving the church so much revelation of His word. While reading the word, God has been showing me the simplicity of the Bible. Throughout the whole Bible He makes 2 roads very clear. One leads us to Him, one leads us away; one keeps up connected to the vine, the other breaks us away from it.

For those connected to the vine they cannot help but bear fruit. The branches do not have to force themselves to bear fruit, it happens naturally because of the nutrients they are receiving from the roots. In the same way, the people of God will always bear fruit when connected to the vine. They cannot help but bear the fruit; when they are connected to the God of love they bear love, when connected to the Holy God they bear holiness, when connected to the God of truth they bear truth.

What fruit are you bearing this day? What new fruit (that maybe you didn’t even expect) is sprouting up this day?

We should be bearing the fruit every day, this is how we show ourselves to be Gods disciples. May fruit abound on the branches and may it bring glory to God!

Amen,

Kris
