To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.Revelation 1:5-6
Church,

There is so much to give God glory for in our lives. Just from this one verse we could spend a lifetime giving thanks and glory to God.

To Him who loves us – The one who loved us even when we didn’t know Him. The one who paid the ultimate sacrifice of love for us while we were still sinners. Nowhere in this world will you find such a demonstration of love.

Has freed us from our sins by His blood – He paid for our sins by His very blood. Not just so we wouldn’t have to face the penalty, but so that we could be free. By His blood we are not bound by the ways of sin but we are free to know Him, to love Him and to serve Him.

Made us to be a Kingdom – We have been brought into and established in Gods Kingdom. To us, a people with no historical right, God opened up the gates of His city and set us a place at His table.

Priests to serve – Even among the Jews the position of priest was rare. Yet God has given us the honor of serving in His house and being a priest in the house that will stand forever.

Just in this verse we could spend our whole lives repaying our God with shouts of praise. He has done all of this for us and yet continues to perform miraculous wonders and miracles among us every day. We truly serve an amazing God.

To Him be the glory and power for ever and ever!

Amen,

-Kris
