Like an Olive Tree

But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God;
I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever.
For what you have done I will always praise you in the presence of your faithful people.
And I will hope in your name, for your name is good.Psalm 52:8-9
United Faith Church,

Have you turned on the news lately and wondered when did the world get so chaotic? By watching the news, talking to people about their lives or going out into the community you can see the struggles of the world we live in and what we are surrounded by.

All though the Christian may live in a world of chaos, it does not mean they are in chaos. God has established His people as a holy and ordained people. They are set apart from the world not only in action but set apart from all the turmoil and depravity of the world.

This verse was written in such a manner. If you read the rest of the chapter it talks about the proud and boastful delighting in evil. Yet for us, we are like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God.

Praise God that He set us apart so that we can live Holy and flourish in this world. Let us praise His name for all He has done and let our hope remain in Him for He is good.

Amen,

Kris
