Jude 1:24
To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy...

Hello, and welcome back to the One Thing podcast. Today, I wanted to share a word from the book of Jude. It’s a book that we’re reading through as a church this week. It is coming from Jude chapter 1 verse 24, a very well-known verse, but something that’s so special and so crucial for us to understand. It says, “To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy.”

"Jesus is able to carry us through."
When this scripture is simply saying, “to him,” to him—who is He? He is the Lord Jesus Christ. You see, Jesus is able to carry us through. Jesus alone is able to bring us through to the Father, into His glorious presence each day—to bring us from glory to glory, to help us to conquer, to overcome, and to continue to run the race that He has called each of us to run in our lives. So, how does this work out? This promise is for those who trust in Him.

"To trust in Jesus is very simple..."
To trust in Jesus is very simple—it is that we function in our lives in relationship with Him. Everything we do is based in the Word and in prayer that is cultivated each and every day in our lives. Here goes the incredible thing! It says that He will keep us from stumbling. So, how does Jesus do that? Well, if we are walking with Him, if we are trusting in Him and not leaning on our own understanding but simply following His Word, following His truth, He is the light. People stumble when they’re in darkness. We stumble when we are in the darkness—when we don’t have the Word, when we’re not with Jesus—but, He can keep us from stumbling because He Himself is the light.

"Jesus himself is the Lamb of God..."
At the end of the verse it says that He also will bring us, He is capable of bringing us, into the glorious presence of God without fault and with great joy. Again, how does He do this? Well, simply, Jesus himself is the Lamb of God, the precious Lamb of God that purifies us. He is the Lamb of God who is worthy, that when we trust in Him, when we walk with Him, He is able to bring us from darkness into light and also into the glorious presence of God without fault—without fault.

See, He takes on our sin. He has taken on the punishment that we have deserved. As we look to Him and as we follow Him, He brings us each and every moment into the glorious presence of the Almighty God without fault and filed with great joy. He is our purity, He is our hope, and He is our joy.

"He is able to do beyond anything that we can ever ask or imagine."
So can we enter into the place of God today? Yes, we can, because Jesus is able to bring us into that place. He is able to do beyond anything that we can ever ask or imagine. How great! What great Savior! What great Lord have we followed! What great hope we have in the Word and in the light of the Lord Jesus. May we enter into that hope today. May we step in knowing that He is able. We may not be able, but through Him we become able because He alone is. So bless His name, and may you each be blessed today. Amen!
