Exodus 33:15-16
Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. 16 How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?”

Hi everyone! It’s Tania and welcome to the Moms for Christ podcast. During this Holy Week, the Lord has placed on my heart the word “holy.” To be holy means to be set apart for the Lord.

"It's the Lord's Spirit within us that distinguishes a Christian from all other people on the earth."
As I began to think about this word, the Lord reminded me of Exodus, chapter 33, verse 15 to 16. And it says, “Then Moses said to Him, ‘If Your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that You are pleased with me and Your people unless You go with us? What else will distinguish me and Your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?’” It's the Lord's Spirit within us that distinguishes a Christian from all other people on the earth. Moses understood that it was only the Lord that allowed his people to be set apart for the Lord - and he was not willing to move without the Lord's presence.

As I continue to read, in Exodus chapter 35 God begins to build His temple. He fills Bezalel with His Spirit and wisdom to decorate the Lord's temple. He was given Oholiab and Ahisamak to help teach the people the skills needed to carry out the construction of the sanctuary. The Lord used the Israelite’s skills to build His kingdom.

"God also calls for us to be holy for the work of His kingdom...be unwilling to move unless the Lord is with you..."
As I think about Jesus, He was just a man. He knew that He had a call in His life, but His ministry did not truly start until He was baptized and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him. In that moment, Jesus was made holy because the Spirit within Him was holy. He was set apart for God's purpose: to preach the Gospel, heal the sick, drive out impure spirits, and ultimately, die as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Jesus was made holy because the work that He did was for the kingdom of God. God also calls for us to be holy for the work of His kingdom. It's a choice that must be made every day - to cry out, and just like Moses be unwilling to move unless the Lord is with you, understanding that when you are filled with the Holy Spirit, everything you do will be for the Lord's kingdom.

"God is looking for a people whose lives are completely laid down...He wants us to partake in His kingdom - a kingdom that will never perish...that will last all eternity."
I see those places in my life where I've moved without the Holy Spirit, ultimately doing work for my kingdom. God is looking for a people whose lives are completely laid down, understanding that if God is not with them there is nothing that will set them apart, and instead of building God's kingdom they'll be building a kingdom for themselves. A kingdom that will not last, a kingdom that will perish. God wants so much more for our lives. He wants us to partake in His kingdom - a kingdom that will never perish. A kingdom that will last all eternity.

Lord, thank You for Your Word. Lord I pray that we would have a mindset like Moses, unwilling to move unless You are with us. I pray that we would understand that it's only You that causes a distinction between Your people, and as You move within us, Your Spirit testifies to who You are, and that we are your children. Lord, please, cause us to be a people crying out day and night for Your presence. Please, cause me to be one not willing to move unless I move with You. Lord I pray that we would understand that we were made to build Your kingdom, amen. God bless and have a wonderful week, I will speak to you again soon.
