Demolish Strongholds - Take Every Thought Captive

Demolish Strongholds - Take Every Thought Captive Hi moms! It's Karen and I'm so excited to share what the Lord has been speaking to me this past week. It's from the book of second Corinthians chapter 10 verse 5 and it says “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” This word is so powerful! How awesome is it that we can take every argument and every pretension, which is just a fancy way of saying “a claim to something”, and measure it to the Word of God, and when it doesn't measure up, we simply refute it. The Word says that we demolish and take captive the things that try to separate us from God so that they have no hold on us.

The Word says that we demolish strongholds and take every thought captive that try to separate us from God...
This verse came to mind this week when I was speaking to my teenage daughter about something that wasn't going her way, but it was cool because I had the chance to share this scripture and simply say--- The Lord gave us his mighty Word so that we can measure every thought, every action, everything according to it. Now take a look at your situation, when it doesn't line up with the knowledge of God-- Stop. Demolish it. Take it captive. And then speak life over yourself and His Word over yourself and get realigned with Christ.

"Stop. Demolish it. Take it captive. And then speak life over yourself..."
I am just so thankful that we don't have to battle like the world does. That we battle with the divine power of our mighty God. What a great, yet essential thing for our children to learn-- especially at this young age. So I just want to pray for you guys. Father, thank you so much God, that Father you have given us everything we need, God, for life and godliness. Thank you, Lord, that you give us your mighty Word, God that we can measure everything according to it, God. And anything that doesn't line up, Father that we can demolish it, God. That we can take captive every thought that doesn't line up with the Word of God. Lord, I ask that you would continue to strengthen each and every one of us with your wisdom and knowledge and all that it takes to raise our children in your ways that bring life, joy, and peace. We ask all these things in the mighty name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen. Be blessed this week, ladies!
