Walking with the Spirit of God

Word of the Week

But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. 1 Thessalonians 5:8

Church,
Just as a soldier would never go into the field unprepared, so the Christian is supposed to walk in this world prepared for what they may face. God calls us to walk by the Spirit, outfitted with our heavenly armor. Faith and love guarding our heart to keep our hearts pure and putting on the salvation that came from the sacrifice of Jesus Christ to keep our minds sanctified. We strap our feet with faith and obedience to take us where He has called us to go. Our hands should be outfitted with the power of His Holy Spirit to accomplish the works that He has set forth for us to do.

God did not call us to walk on our own but to walk with the Spirit of God, that no part of us would be separate from Him but every part of our bodies dedicated as living sacrifices. This is how we walk in this world prepared to do His will and accomplish mighty works in Him!

Amen,
Kris
