Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm. The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”Matthew 8:23-27

Church,

Jesus Christ is the one who comes in and calms the storm. So many of us know what it is like to live in the middle of a storm. Things may seem chaotic and out of control and we are unsure how to regain control.

But Jesus Christ is the prince of peace. He is the God who enters into the chaos and by His very words the winds are settled. Where the chaos of the world used to knock us down, we now are standing firmly on a strong foundation.

If you are in the storm today, go to the foot of the cross and encounter the peace of God.

“What kind of man is this? Even the winds and waves obey Him!” – He is the Lord Jesus Christ almighty.

Amen,

Kris
