His Sacrifice

Matthew 26:39
Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”

Church,

As Jesus was preparing for the time when He was to be crucified, imagine the turmoil in His heart. He knew what He was facing and what was to come. Despite His suffering, He knew that His sacrifice would mean the forgiveness of sins for thousands of years. He knew His sacrifice would mean reconciling the Father back to His children. He knew His sacrifice would allow all men, Jew & Gentile, to enter into the Kingdom of God. Yet He knew that the price of all of this was His suffering.

Take time to thank and praise Jesus Christ for his amazing sacrifice. The sacrifice that cost the son of God everything but means salvation for us. Thank you Lord for giving your life for me!

Amen,

Kris
