Psalm 1:1-3
Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.

United Faith Church,

The very first lines of the book of Psalms state clearly what it means to be blessed by God. It isn’t the one who gives the most to the poor, it isn’t the one who does the most good deeds; but blessed is the one who does not walk in the ways of sin but delights in the law of the Lord!

As Pastor Janeth said on Sunday, this law is what brings us freedom, law bearing fruit.  We should be meditating on it day and night in our hearts so it can continue to bring us freedom every day. Than, we are like that tree planted by streams of water, continually being watered by the laws of God. And that law will bear fruit in our lives; we will not wither but prosper in whatever we do.

May we delight in the law of the Lord today and store it up in our hearts. Let His law continue to bring us freedom and may we bear good fruit because of it.

Amen,

Kris
