And who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord.Romans 1:4
United Faith Church,

It is amazing to see how a life that was lived over 2000 years ago is still having such a drastic and transforming impact all over the world today. This radical change of millions of people, for thousands of years, could not be completed by an ordinary man. From Mary’s conception to our lives being transformed today, the awesome power and divinity of Christ can be plainly seen throughout history.

This verse speaks to that divinity. It provides evidence to the reader of who Jesus was. It speaks of the “Spirit of holiness” that was over Jesus Christ. This Spirit testified about Jesus in His perfect and sinless life. “The Son of God in power” speaks of the awesome and powerful works that Jesus completed through His life and on the cross and it still completing today. And the ultimate testimony of the power of Jesus Christ is His “Resurrection from the dead”. That resurrection is why we serve a living and active God today and it is why His power is active in our lives.

Praise God that we do not serve a dead god but Jesus Christ is living and active. His power and divinity that was displayed 2000 years ago has not dwindled but is still working to accomplish the Fathers will today. Let Gods resurrection power increase in you and let it work in your life this day!

Kris
