Genesis 41:15-16
And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I have had a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it. But I have heard it said of you that you can understand a dream, to interpret it.”
So Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, “It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.”

Church,

I love Josephs answer to Pharaoh in this situation. You would think Joseph would be happy to take the credit and bring attention to himself and in doing so grant himself freedom from prison. But Joseph is quick to give the glory to God, knowing that Pharaoh holds no authority over him.

Our answers should be similar. Every talent, skill and special thing about us comes from the King of Kings and exists to only further the plan of God in our lives. Our intelligence, personality traits, charisma or any other good things are gifts from God to be utilized to advance His kingdom and His plans for our lives. I pray that we would not look to exalt ourselves but use them to exalt God. For every good and perfect thing comes from above!

Amen,
Kris
