Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it.

When God the Father created the world He worked 6 days and when His work was finished He rested on the seventh day. When Jesus Christ came to this world He was constantly in motion fulfilling His Fathers plan. When the plan was completed the Word says that He sat down at the right hand of God.

Gods rest comes when the work is complete, when “it is finished”. Jesus Christ completed the work of salvation. We, as carriers of the Spirit of God, can also enter into that rest. For when Jesus Christ said, “It is finished”, He beat Hell, death and the grave. His work of salvation was complete.

Now we have the same power available to us, the power to conquer hell, death and the grave. Jesus Christ entered into the promise of rest because His work was complete. Now that same power is at work in us. I am praying that Gods redeeming power will complete an awesome work in you this day so that you can enter into the “Rest” of God, where the bondage of sin is vanquished and you live a life over coming this world.
